Tallinn, Estonia

I took a boat from Helsinki to Tallinn (Estonia) yesterday. I always seem to immediately judge the country/city Im arriving in based on how easy I can find my hostel. Sometimes I get to the place, and it takes me an hour to find my place, but sometimes everything just works out. Yesterday I got to Tallinn and made it without any problems to my hostel.
Im not sure if it is because of that - but Tallinn is really sick. This really isnt a word I use very often (not that theres anything wrong with it), but it is incredibly beautiful.

Helsinki, Finland

I dont know - when I started this blog, I didnt think it would turn into 'look how many Korean people I have met in all these different places!' Im not sure what it is, but Im meeting tons and tons of Koreans everywhere I go... and its SOOO sick.

Im in Helsinki (Finland) right now... so I was walking around town and checked out the city hall, and I met these two Korean girls:

I walked around town with them for a few hours and checked out the city. Helsinki is really nice. It kind of has a bit of a Russian feel to it, even though Ive never been to Russia. St. Petersburg is really close to here, and I WOULD be going if I didnt have to go through a very complicated visa process.

After I left the two girls, I went to my hostel to check in. Like 5 seconds later, a girl walked in behind me that was clearly Korean. I hung out with her last night, and two other Korean guys that are staying at my hostel. I love listening to them speak and trying to understand them.

This morning the girl from my Hostel (Pora) made me a traditional Korean breakfast. Seaweed soup, fish soup, noodles. SO good.

3 Countries - 3 Selca pictures - Same people

I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that I met up with the same girl in a few different places. It was so sick travelling with her. It made it even more sick because she was Korean, and she was teaching me more and more as we would walk around whatever city we were in.
She also taught me that in Korea, when you take a picture of yourself (like I always do), they are called Selca (Self Camera) pictures.
We travelled together in Copenhagen (Denmark):
Oslo (Norway):
And Stockholm (Sweden):

She calls me the Selca king.

Stockholm, Sweden

Ive been in Stockholm for a few days now. I chose to spend a little bit more time here than I would in most cities just because Ive been moving around a lot, and I thought I would want the time to rest. Its a really cool city, and the streets kind of confuse me. It was raining a lot yesterday, but I did manage to walk around a lot. Later in the day I went out with a girl that I met from the Toronto area and I got this sick picture:

I also kind of liked this one. I dont know, its hard to show what Sweden is like. This is sort of what things look like:

Norway is SO sick!

I spent 2 quick days in Oslo (Norway). I actually REALLY liked the city. Its sort of like the south of France (because of the houses built on hills in the background) hits Vegas (because of the construction) hits Sydney (because of the Opera house... not that Ive ever been there) hits Paris (because of the big parks in the middle of the city).
Me infront of the Royal Palace:

Me and a sick Korean girl I met started hanging out in Copenhagen... and then we met up again in Oslo...

And then we actually met up today in Stockholm (Sweden). So yeah, Im in Stockholm now, but pics will come later.

4 things I miss about home:
Friends
Home
Tennis
Playing random sports with friends in the summer.

Late night train to Copenhagen

I took a train from Amsterdam going to Copenhagen at 7 at night, and didn't get to Copenhagen until 10 the next morning. It wasn't that bad, though, because even though I only booked a 'seat,' I had a row of seats to myself most of the time.
No pictures of Copenhagen only because the computer here is an old MAC and its hard to upload them.
So far, though, I'm really impressed with the city. It almost reminds me of Singapore with its cleanlines and efficiency.... but with some sort of Viking feel to it.

Korea in Amsterdam

I spent the whole day today walking around Amsterdam. It was so sick. I left the hostel at 9:00 in the morning and didn't get back until 10:00 at night. I ran into a Korean guy half-way through the day and we chilled for hours... and them we used our Korean skills to talk to some Korean girls. And then we hung out with them for a couple hours:

I Amsterdam

Yesterday I took the bus from Brussels to Amsterdam. It seems like every place I get to, I never want to leave - and I think "ah shit, I don't want to leave all this comfort here." But then I get to the next place and it's always amazing.
I got off the metro in Amsterdam yesterday and walked around for an hour looking for my hostel, but then I realized that it was actually 10 meters from where I got off the bus. Other than that little bit, everything here has been perfect so far.
I went to the red light district last night with some Americans I met here. Pretty weird/interesting but people aren't allowed to take pictures.
Instead I tried to re-create that picture that everybody has from IKEA with the bike on the canal in Amsterdam (my brother has it in his bedroom):

Gay Brussels

Today back in Brussels happened to be gay-pride day. Which definitely provided us with some awesome entertainment as we checked out the city. Just as the parade was starting off, we were sort of walking with it, and then we realized we were actually marching in the parade.

One day in Luxembourg

Fulya and I spent the day in the tiny country of Luxembourg yesterday. For a country so small, I was really cool and beautiful. It really reminded me of Liechtenstien (another tiny country in Europe):
Typical Will shot with random country in the background:
We just took the train there from Brussels for the day, so it was really sick.

Brussels, Belgium

I got to Brussels (in Belgium) today. I'm incredibly happy here because I'm staying with an old friend from high school (Fulya)... and she's treating my like a king.
The city is almost as good as the host:

Typical Paris Landmarks

A few of the "must-see" things in Paris, I guess. Pretty sick day walking around the city. I'm really impressed with the beauty of Paris. I always remember some dude in Sex and the City saying "Paris in the best city in the world." I'm not sure if I agree with that (he probably never went to Asia), but it's definitely really really nice.

Rain in Paris

I got to Paris today... the city looks nice but it's been raining all day so its not as sick as it could be. I saw a few things, like the Notro Dame Cathedral and the Louvre:

Tomorrow should be sick, as long as it doesn't rain :)

London Pictures

Spent the day in London recently. It was alright, but it was freezing cold, and I'm still used to my Malaysian heat.
I also took the train to go see the Wimbledon tennis courts and stuff. In there was the scoreboard from last year. I definitely remember watching this one:

Off to Paris tomorrow....

Dublin, Ireland

Haven't been able to update the old blog in a while. My internet access might be hit and miss over the next 3 months - so it might be a few days before I post something new everytime.
I spent the last 3 days in Dublin, Ireland.
Here's a picture of a typical old Irish lad in the center of Dublin that I think is pretty sick:

We also took a train out to the coast, and saw what I have always imagined Ireland to be like:

London With My Mom

Okay so I lied, I'm not actually in the center of London - but I am with my mom - and I am close to London.
We're leaving for Ireland tomorrow for a few days, and then we'll be back to check out the actual city of London.
